Top Gear Boys Have Had One Last Dig At Argentina

Jeremy Clarkson and the Top Gear boys had one last dig at Argentina last night by wearing Chile badges.

The badges were a salute to the country who helped them get out of a VERY sticky situation after the presenters were being attacked by locals.

Top Gear came under fire last year after they were perceived to make a potentially offensive joke about the Falklands.

According to Argentinian newspapers the number plate H982 FKL was a dig at the country, as it referenced the 1982 Falklands war.

Now the conflict is well over, the Top Gear presenters have taken one last shot.

Part way through the show Jeremy announced that he was going to make an apology on air that the producers didn’t know about.

However, the apology came in full Clarkson style:

“A lot of you saw the Patagonia special and I’d love to admit now in front of everybody that I made a terrible mistake. Nobody knows I’m going to do this, but I want to get it off my chest now. Right in the middle of the programme, I said that the Condor is the largest flying bird, in the world, it isnt, it’s the wandering Albatross. I’m deeply deeply sorry.Jeremy Clarkson”

It seems that Clarkson was on a roll last night and even decided to mock America.
