Bespoke Offering: Rolls Royce Chicane Phantom Coupe Revealed (PHOTOS)

The Rolls-Royce Bespoke Chicane Phantom Coupe (what a name!) is revealed.

Designed by the Rolls Royce Bespoke Department where, “the talents of the world’s finest automotive designers and craftspeople at (their) disposal.“

The Rolls-Royce Bespoke Chicane Phantom Coupe is the brainchild of Rolls-Royce Dubai’s brand manager Mohammed EL-Arishy. He got the inspiration while visiting Goodwood and is meant to represent the history and heritage of the iconic Goodwood Race Track.

Autocar.co.uk have the full scoop: Inside, the bespoke model features carbonfibre trim instead of the traditional wood, a chequered flag motif stitched into the seats, and a metal plaque featuring the layout of the Goodwood track inside the glovebox.

On the outside, the bonnet and windscreen surround are finished in matt-black paint. The rest of the car is finished in Gunmetal paint.

For the first time on a contemporary Rolls-Royce, painted wheels matching the exterior colour are also included.

Inspiration for the custom design came from Rolls-Royce brand manager in Dubai Mohammed El-Arishy, who said:

“I wanted to create a motor car that captures the unique atmosphere and history of the Goodwood motor circuit. Rolls-Royce’s connection to such an important centre of British motoring heritage is something that fascinates my customers.”

The company says its bespoke design divison has, in the past, gone to such lengths as to match an exterior paint to a client’s favourite colour of eye shadow, as well as sourcing a wood trim from a tree on a customer’s estate.
