Listen To The New 2015 Ford Mustang GT V8! (VIDEO)

Muscle cars need to sound good, so how does the new 2015 Ford Mustang stack up in the acoustic department?

Half of the point of The Muscle Car is to make lots of really cool V8 noises. The other half is to go really fast while making those noises. We can assume that the new 2015 Ford Mustang is rather brisk; it weighs around 90kgs less than the current car and in V8 GT form has around 420hp at its disposal – that’ll do. But does it sound any good? Um, we could blabber on about how the idle is lumpy and old school with a nice bassy throb, and how the deep low-speed burble builds into a muscular metallic shriek at higher revs, or how it sounds like thunder riding a chariot of fire being pulled by unicorns – or something similarly weird but epic. OR, we could just tell you that, yes, the new Mustang GT sounds the business.

The video below not only lets you hear the new pony car, but it reveals how damn old and wonky looking the current Mustang looks compared to the new car. It also shows that even on a drab day, in a supermarket car park, the new car looks very suave. We like it.
