Seven time F1 world champion, Michael Schumacher, takes to the wheel of the all-new 2015 Mercedes C-Class.
Vehicle safety is a massive deal these days. Automakers work not only to try and minimize passanger injury in the event of a collision, but to try and prevent those collisions completely. To avoid accidents the new 2015 Mercedes C-Class can apply the brakes automatically and even steer the car without the driver even thinking about avoiding the impending doom. Spooky. And during deeply irritating stop start traffic the driver can sit back and relax while the car does all of the thinking, accelerating, braking, and steering. Autonomous vehicle? Just about.
So how does someone like Michael Schumacher who is used to being one hundred percent in control of mega powerful F1 cars view the technology? After hanging up the racing overalls Schuey joined the Mercedes-Benz vehicle development team, here’s the seven-time F1 world champion testing the all-new C-Class’ safety systems.
