This 700 BHP Hennessey C7 became the first Corvette Stingray to break the 200mph speed limit on a Texas Highway.

Hennessey tuned this Corvette Stingray with a HPE600 upgrade for a 200mph joyride on a Texas public Highway.

Don’t worry, no laws were broken as Texas Officials closed the Highway for the testing and even helped out further as they managed to record the time of 200.6 mph.

The Texas-based tuner’s Corvette C7 was fitted with the HPE600 naturally aspirated upgrade (with 603bhp) package that adds an Eaton TVS R2300 supercharger system tweaks the LT1 6.2-liter V8 to the tune of 603-horses, with another 100hp coming from a Nitrous Express kit for a total of 703hp.
