A Kahn Design Makes a Land Rover Defender for the Boulevard

For decades, the Land Rover Defender has been the go-to vehicle for those looking to conquer any kind of terrain and obstacle. Its unique off-road capabilities make it a vehicle that can go anywhere, but for quite some time it has looked a bit out of place in nicer city areas due to its rugged nature. The team at A Kahn Design has changed that with the new Land Rover Defender 2.4 TDCI 90 Hard Top – Chelsea Wide Track.

The new Land Rover Defender 2.4 TDCI 90 Hard Top – Chelsea Wide Track is designed to be at home on the ritzy streets while being more than capable of traversing through a rain forest. The A Kahn Design team had to rework numerous aspects of the exterior and interior of the SUV to add a classy, unique style that paid homage to the SUV’s off-road effectiveness.

The exterior of the Land Rover Defender 2.4 TDCI 90 Hard Top – Chelsea Wide Track features a new X-Lander grille and headlight surround that is easily installed on the factory mounting points and can be painted a variety of colors for a custom-tailored fascia. Beneath the X-Lander grille sits a new front bumper with replacement lights and an integrated aluminum sump guard. Extended wheel arches lend to a more muscular appearance and surround the new 9.0 x 20 Mondai wheels with a piano black color and precision diamond cut finish. A set of meaty 275/55/20 tires are mounted at the front and rear and are more than able to conquer the asphalt, dirt, or mud.

The rear of the Land Rover Defender sports a new stainless steel twin cross hair exhaust system with shields for a more powerful look. Satin black covers the extended wheel arches and roof to contrast the Alpine White body, while Kahn badging and a Chelsea Truck Company spare wheel cover provide the finishing touches.

Inside, the rugged nature of the SUV becomes more luxurious and comfortable in the Land Rover Defender 2.4 TDCI 90 Hard Top – Chelsea Wide Track thanks to some custom-tailored, handmade amenities. The two front GTB seats offer plenty of support and wear quilted and perforated leather. The rear floor space was replaced with a classic teak decking while a display-only fire extinguisher provides a special touch. The driver benefits from new aluminum foot pedals, a leather steering wheel, red tachometer, and a Harris Tweed instrument binnacle. The high-end material also adorns the passenger-side dashboard top and grab handle.
