Curiosity has been rummaging around the barren and dusty surface of Mars since August of 2012, and in that time, it’s sent back many stunning panoramic photos showing its desolate dunes.
According to NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the mission is going along fairly smoothly, and they have now been able to create a nine-slide animation of the rover going over a crest, with the camera pointed behind the direction of movement.
