Michael Schumacher’s manager has today issued a statement saying that the seven-time F1 champion is still in the waking up process. The statement contradicts rampant speculation – following a lack of updates – that doctors had stopped bringing him out of the medically-induced coma following his skiing accident late last year.

The statement from Sabine Kehm said:

“Michael is still in the wake up phase. The situation has not changed. Any information published which is not confirmed by the team of doctors treating Michael or his management has to be considered as not valid.”

We’ll update you with further details when they’re released.
