The Greatest Car Owners' Manuals

When I was a little kid, I used to love the instruction manuals that came with video games. This was back in the NES era, so game manuals were full of crazy artwork and weird translations. I think that’s why I started digging through the owners’ manuals in my parents’ cars too.

I still get a huge kick out of reading manuals in cars. There’s something fascinating about the little printed book that comes with a car and holds all its secrets within. Sometimes you even find all sorts of wacky mistakes, easter eggs and clever prose from some bored technical writer who managed to sneak it through. And the artwork! The artwork is the best.

So that’s our Show Us challenge for the day — what are the best and most interesting car owners’ manuals out there? I’ll get us started.
