Citroën’s flirty affair with U.S. makeup brand Benefit Cosmetics that started with a one-off, pink-colored DS3 back in December has led to a series of three special editions, two of which are available now in the UK, with a third model to be added later in the summer.
Designed for the ladies, the two first Benefit Comsetics-branded models are based on the existing DS3 DSign and DStyle trim levels, featuring bespoke color themes and styling elements, with prices starting from £14,795.
Powered by Citroen’s VTi 82PS petrol engine linked to a manual gearbox, the DS3 DSign Benefit is finished in a Red metallic paint with a white roof and door mirrors, combined with dark tinted rear windows, chrome detailing and 17-inch white alloy wheels. On the inside, the French hatch sports a white dashboard, air vent surrounds and gear stick cap, along with unique black velour carpet mats with red piping and red Benefit logo, and aluminium pedals.
The second model is the DS3 Dstyle by Benefit, said to be inspired by the makeup brand’s “They’re Real!” mascara with motivation provided by a VTi 120PS petrol unit paired to a manual gearbox.
On the outside, it is painted in a metallic grey shade, with Benefit Orange featured on the roof, door mirrors and the 17-inch black alloy wheel center caps, while on the inside, the car has gloss black dashboard, air vent surrounds and gear stick cap, along with bespoke black velour carpet mats with orange piping and orange Benefit logo, and aluminium pedals.
Citroen says that, in a retailing first, consumer can check out the DS3 specials on ASOS, described as “the UK’s largest independent online fashion and beauty retailer”, on a dedicated section of the site at www.asos.com/citroen.
