French aviation pioneer Roland Garros was one such pioneer, who chose the original Bugatti 18 “Black Bess” so he could travel as fast on land as he could fly in the air. The Black Bess was the first ‘super’ sportscar in history and one of the fastest of its time.
Bugatti has revived the legendary Type 18 as in this Bugatti Legend Black Bess Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse.
Only three Black Bess Legends will be built, each priced at $2.9 million.
One hell of a price but considering all the ‘Legends’ series have been sold, we suspect the will build more.
