Get a glimpse of the awesome car chase scene from the upcoming James Bond Spectre movie featuring the Aston Martin DB10 and Jaguar C-X75.
The latest James Bond movie promises to be absolutely awesome and will hit cinemas later this year. It should be particularly entertaining for car guys (and gals) too, thanks to the awesome cars lined up for the movie. We’ve known for a while that Aston Martin was building a bespoke car for the movie dubbed DB10. It’s a stunning rear-wheel drive coupe that sadly can’t actually be purchased by the public no matter how deep your pockets are. Ten DB10s were built for the movie, some for stunt purposes and others just for glamour shots. Of course, the Aston Martin will be driven by James Bond and while we can tell you it’s powered by a V8 engine, we’re unsure what weapons and other trick devices Bond’s DB10 will be fitted with.
The villain of the movie Mr. Hinx will be driving Jaguar’s C-X75 supercar which was originally a concept which then got very, very close to going into production as a rival to the Porsche 918, McLaren P1 and LaFerrari. Jaguar pulled the pin on the stunning supercar at the last minute due to economic woes. Now however, the C-X75 is getting a starring role in Spectre where it will be part of one of the coolest car chases of recent times. The movie role fits perfectly with Jaguar’s new ‘good to be bad’ marketing blabber as it attempts to move very far away from its former slippers and cigars image. And with cars like the new F-Type sports car and XE it appears to be doing a rather good job.
The C-X75 won’t be the only Jaguar Land Rover car in the movie either, with other key characters jumping behind the wheel of a few other JLR specials.
The car chase is held on the historic and clearly quite slippery streets of Rome, and the cars are driven right at the limit sliding their way around the Italian capital.
