The Abu Dhabi police force have just added one of the world’s most expensive supercars in the world to their fleet, the Lykan HyperSport from Fast and Furious 7.
In wealthy Arab cities like Abu Dhabi, just about every second car is a Ferrari 458 or Lamborghini supercar. These are fast cars, so it’s only right that the law enforcement drive even faster cars in order to reel supercar driving in law breakers. The Dubai force has a pretty enviable list of squad cars including a Lamborghini Aventador, Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari FF, and the list goes on. But they’ve been outdone by the Abu Dhabi cops which have just taken delivery of one of the world’s most expensive ultra exclusive supercars, the Lykan HyperSport.
You may have seen it in Fast and Furious 7, it was the car that Vin Diesel’s character Dom (somehow) lifted off the ground and then proceeded to drive and jump it through several buildings. It’s powered by a 740hp 3.6-litre twin-turbo flat six developed by Porsche tuners RUF and can accelerate to 62mph in 2.8 seconds and onto a top speed of 239mph. Yep, it’s no slouch. It looks pretty insane as well, with an exceptionally angular body that makes a Lamborghini Aventador look a bit tame by comparison.
