Hertz Dream Cars Program

You’ve always wanted to drive an exotic sports car but could never afford to buy one? Well, good news! You could hire one from Hertz, if you went without food or toilet paper for a month or so!

Spurred on by the fact that Avis car rentals are now supplying holiday-goers with The Fastest Car In The World, a red Toyota Corolla, or a blue one – as used by TopGear in their recent car versus boat race -, Hertz car rentals are now offering exotic sports cars for rental. Even so, none of them are the fastest car in the world as far as we know.

Hertz Gallardo

Anyhow, this will mean that you’ll hire your Lamborghini Gallardo and it’ll have a knackered clutch, about a million miles on the odometer and a blemish on every body panel.

But not to worry because, it also means that you could drive it along a gravel road at 200mph then have a collision with a lunatic on a rickety New Zealand bridge. Or drive it down a bumpy embankment causing most of the already ruined body panels to fall off, while racing a man on a yatch who is having his face turned into a prostitute’s front door – not following? Hertz SRT Viper

The brave or perhaps idiotic chaps from Hertz Dream Cars, lame name by the way, will happily supply you with some dented supercars which include the Aston Martin V8, Mercedes SLS AMG, Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo, Nissan GT-R, an SRT Viper (we all know how that’s going to end up. Hint: it involves a spectacular and fiery accident), Bentley Continental GT, Audi R8 or any current model Porsche.

You’ll notice that these cars aren’t exactly slow or cheap to buy or repair, consequently they’ll cost quite a bit to hire. Prices are said to range from $400 a day for the Porsche Boxster to $1500 for the expensive Italian stuff, for ONE day. Madness.
