We take an look at the 2014 Bumblebee Camaro that will feature in the new transformers 4 film.
Our first look at Michael Bay’s interpretation of “Bumblebee” took the form of a 1977 Chevrolet Camaro – but apparently that isn’t the only car representing the autobots.
Yes! Not one but two Camaros will play Bumblebee in Michael Bay’s fourth instalment of the Transformers franchise.
The new Cheverolt Camaro is a futuristic twist on the Bumblebee’s usual classic design, with a slim and angular design, bringing a raw street-racer appeal to the Bumblebee Camaro.
Chevrolet has been a generous partner in the Transformers franchise, they have paid for every single car in all films and aggressively marketed the movies. The reason for this is quite simple according to Tom Burkart of topspeed.com:
“these full-length action films have a global and multilingual reach far beyond any 30-second television commercial….” Further adding that, “These movie cars take the ‘pulse’ of GM’s styling departments by letting them create without production feasibility or engineering limits. They are, in short, the best concept cars Chevrolet makes.”
No doubt, the Camaro is a special part of the Transformers franchise representing the general underdog and the all-American hero. Transformers 4 will also feature; a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, a Corvette Stingray, a Pagani Huayra, and a truck from the Oshkosh Defence. Now, that is one stella cast of cars!
