The wordsmith behind many of the Carhoots blogs recently found himself away from the keyboard and in front of the camera.
He isn’t starring in Ron Howard’s upcoming RUSH film, unfortunately, I think Ron might’ve misplaced his number or something, never mind. No, he’s been out filming a video review of a MK2 Mazda MX-5.
The aim of the Raw Driving films is to provide genuine consumer advice in our review videos, but also to not really take things too seriously. Anyone can make a very strict and serious car review video, but I find those a bit boring. So we wanted to make it fun, and hopefully that shines through in the video despite the fact that we left out the bits where I call a BMW 320i driver a monumental cock and laugh at a Ssangyong driver.
Hopefully you like the video, there’s more adventures and reviews coming including a sort of muscle car celebration with a recently restored ’66 Ford Mustang, a video inside a seedy workshop that builds some epic drift cars, we’re doing some rally driving, and eventually some track work. It should be fun!
