Supermini fans will love the unique stylish design of the new Vauxhall ADAM due to arrive in UK showrooms January 2013. Unlike its competitors MINI and FIAT 500, ADAM offers buyers a much more personal touch with over one million different styling combinations to choose from. Its unique image along with the hi-tech gadgets you’ll find inside (such as ultrasonic sensors for advanced parking assistance) is what makes ADAM so interesting. However we must say, here at Carhoots, we find name is slightly disappointing. Named after the company founder Adam Opel, we would have expected something a little more exciting or unusual for such a distinctive car.
Described as classy, glamorous and sophisticated, this three door car has three different trims for their launch:
– JAM (Fashionable, Classy):
– GLAM (Elegant, Sleek):
– SLAM (Bold, Sporty):
ADAM should be selling for around £11,000 in the UK and will offer a choice of 3 efficient EcoFLEX four-cylinder petrol engines: a 1.2 litre, 70PS engine and two 1.4 litre engines of either 87PS or 100PS. All will be available with an optional start/stop technology and coupled with a five-speed, manual gearbox. ADAM also boasts a panoramic “floating” roof that’s visually disconnected from the body. Check out the website for more details.
So, what do you think of ADAM?
