In this week’s Carhoots top ‘viral’ car videos; Fernando Alonso approves of the LaFerrari, a Lamborghini gives James May ‘the fizz’, XCAR drive the Ferrari 458, the Honda NSX hits the track (again), and a magician sets some things on fire.
1. Ferrari 458: The Definition Of A Supercar – XCAR
This week XCAR dished up some… er well, there’s no other word for it really – it was just pure pornography. And it was in the form of the utterly beautiful Ferrari 458 Italia.
Warning: this video will cause you to froth uncontrollably at the mouth.
Also, XCAR have a website now -reviews.cnet.com/xcar/ take a gander.
2. Alonso Drives The LaFerrari
Fernando Alonso is a man of great talent; word in the F1 paddock is that he’s actually the best driver on the track at the moment despite the fact that his season hasn’t exactly been a stellar one thus far. Mainly this has been due to issues with his car setup, and maybe his stupid facial hair. Presumably, the The Ferrari has been setup quite well, because, upon emerging from the 963hp hybrid weapon, Alonso appears to be rather chuffed with it.
3. Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Gives James May ‘The Fizz’.
You might remember that Richard Hammond conducted a very thorough and informative road test of the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento – a $2 million, carbon fiber, limited run supercar – on television the other evening. Here’s some behind the scenes footage of the V10 Lambo giving May the infamous ‘fizz’…
4. Acura NSX Prototype Hits The Track (again)
Honda – or ‘Acura if you’re American – are jolly keen to pump out the NSX videos, aren’t they? We had one in our top videos of the week blog last week as well, but that clip was only very short and appeared to have been filmed with a smartphone. This one’s better. Turn up the volume because the V6 sounds seriously delightful…
5. Dynamo vs Coulthard
In this video a magician man drives around a burning makeshift racetrack in a convertible bi-turbo Mercedes AMG. While blindfolded. With former F1 driver, David Coulthard, in the passenger seat. Then the magician goes a bit mad and creates quite a large, raging inferno in the shape of some numbers.
