The BBC has launched a competition to find the new hosts of Top Gear joining Chris Evans as the show prepares to launch in 2016.
The BBC wants you to be the new host of Top Gear! Well, sort of. Allow us to explain. It was recently announced that Ferrari collector, radio host and car enthusiast Chris Evans would replace Jeremy Clarkson as the lead host of Top Gear. However, the search continues for two more co-hosts that will lead the show into the post Clarkson era. It’s a big opportunity and many petrol heads have dreamed of having the job of Clarkson, Hammond and May, now you’ve been given the chance.
To apply you simply have to send a 30 second clip of yourself blabbering on about cars and being enthusiastic while you do it. The clips have to be less than thirty seconds otherwise they won’t be submitted, and crucially your audition clip cannot contain any cars, any stunts, any sideways malarky. The video must only include you speaking to a camera. Simple as that.
Any other requirements? Not really, as long as you’re 17 or older and know something about cars you could be the next host of Top Gear. It doesn’t matter if you’re 17 or 70, submit your video by clicking HERE.
