Batman v Superman movie: new Batmobile revealed (VIDEO)

    Batmobile

The wild new Batmobile for the upcoming Batman v Superman movie has been revealed in a new viral video.

Good news! There’s a new Batman movie on the way, and that means it will soon be cool to wear black leather attire and a cape again… Um, there’s also a new very exciting looking Batmobile which has been revealed in this short thirty second clip, and it looks angry. Christopher Nolan’s old Tumbler Batmobile has been swapped for a lower, sleeker machine that looks like a Star Wars spaceship on wheels. It’s really cool, and fitted with a pair of forward facing guns to take down the inevitable baddies.

Speaking of villains, we can’t tell you anything more about the upcoming movie apart from the fact that it will also include another old-school superhero in the form of the one and only Superman. Judging by the title ‘Batman v Superman,’ they will probably verse each other in some capacity.

As for the nitty gritty details of the new Batmobile, they’re pretty scarce at the moment as well. The old Tumbler machine was powered by a 5.7-litre Chevy V8 engine producing around 400hp. The new car will probably use a similar drivetrain due to its reliability and cost-effectiveness – they’re probably going to smash a few of these things during filming.

Anyway, check out the short video of the new Batmobile below.

New Batman Ben Affleck and his Batmobile Revealed

    ben affleck batmobile

Double whammy! A moody teaser photo revealing New Batman Ben Affleck and the his Batmobile for the Batman vs. Superman movie has been revealed.

Director Zack Snyder – the man behind the recent Superman flick Man of Steel –  tweeted a photo first announcing, “could be time to pull the tarp…tomorrow” (see below) with a juicy teaser of the new Batmobile.

He has since then released another tweet with a photo of Batfleck (Ben Affleck) looking super badass as the new Batman standing besides his Batmobile. Check out that muscle suit!

At first glance it is clear that the new Batmobile is a blend of Christopher Nolan’s military grade Tumbler at the front and Joel Schumacher’s more cartoonish Batmobiles from the rear. The Tumbler needed a much needed re-vamp and glad they have moved back to a more car-like Batmobile.

No word on whether this new Batmobile will be packing 400bhp as the Tumbler did, nor if it will contain the cool Batpod that was used to take on the Joker in the Dark Knight Rises.

As for the new Batman Ben Affleck;  it looks like he has been hitting the gym from the striking appearance his muscular suit, the real difference, if you look a bit closer is the much shorter ears. Perhaps a nod to the 1960s Batman TV series with Adam West?

The Batman vs. Superman movie is expected to arrive in cinemas May 2016. Stay tuned for more Batmobile updates.

Live Out Those Batman Fantasies – The ‘Tumbler’ Batmobile Is For Sale

    Batmobile-Tumbler-for-sale

This is a street-legal replica of the Batmobile used in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. It costs $1 million, which is around £600k in real money, and is therefore more expensive than a pair of Lamborghini Aventadors.

Like the Lamborghini Aventador, the Batmobile features rear-wheel-drive, some wheels, some doors, a stereo, sat nav and iPod integration. Unlike the Lamborghini Aventador, however, it doesn’t have a 6.5-litre V12, 700bhp, bespoke carbon fibre construction and warp speed.

Battle Of The Batmobiles: ’60s versus ’80s Batmobile? (VIDEO)

Who are you’re bets on: the 80’s Batmobile vs. the 60’s Batmobile in a drag race.

Each batman film the fable Batmobile is reworked, restyled and relaunched as the ‘best Batmobile yet’.  Which brings up the question of which Batman had the best car? And by best, I mean fastest.

The folks at Super Power Beat Down staged a drag race to find out which one was fastest, the original Ford Futura based Batmobile or the 1989 custom GM-chassi’d Batmobile. Basically Adam West vs  Michael Keaton.

If you want hear them debate Batmobile styling then watch the whole video. Skip to 7.20 for the actual race and weirdly the sexy red head presenter gets in a bikini for a Batmobile car wash. Odd but strangely satisfying!

The outside of the Batventador is a sexy matte black wrap, finished with a striking gold Batman symbol at the front and rearwing. The mean machine even sports its very own hashtag: #BATVENTADOR on the sides in case people didn’t realise batman is in town.
