What better makings for a trailer? A hot country girl looking for some fun and a wild country guy in the new Subaru Impreza WRX STi! You have our attention!
A recent advert by Cycling Scotland named ‘See Cyclist Think Horse’ has been banned by the UK Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) due to it being “socially irresponsible.”
Why? The fact that the cyclist was not wearing a hemet in the advert which is actually not a legal requirement in the UK. The ASA also had an issue with the fact as well as not wearing a helmet, the cyclist appeared at the middle of the road.
The ASA concluded, “Therefore, for those reasons we concluded the ad was socially irresponsible and likely to condone or encourage behaviour prejudicial to health and safety.”
What do you think? Irresponsible advertising? Or ‘nanny state’ nick picking?
Sunday’s Super Bowl saw a new 30-second spot air for the upcoming Need For Speed movie, starringBreaking Bad‘s Aaron Paul. But what you may not have seen yet was the extended, 90-second trailer that went live online last night. The other item of news is NFS’s release date – the new flick will hit theaters on March 14.
While the Super Bowl ad was almost totally devoid of dialogue in favor of accelerating cars, this extended spot has a lot more going for it. There’s more dialogue, although not enough to really get an idea of what’s going on. The car selection still looks first rate, although more than a few vehicles meet unfortunate ends. Based on the commercial, we should expect some big stunt pieces, as well. Besides the 30- and 90-second spot, there is a short series of Vine-length clips from each trailer.
Based on the comments towards the first trailer we showed you of Need For Speed, most of you aren’t expecting Best Picture nominations for this flick. Take a look below at each clip and see if they’re enough to change your mind. Post your thoughts in Comments.
An advert by Cycling Scotland has been banned by the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA). The issue relates to the fact that it is “socially irresponsible” to depict a cyclist not wearing a helmet.
Cycling Scotland has argued that wearing a helmet is not a legal requirement, reflected by the fact that some cyclists did wear helmets in the ad, while others did not.
ASA also took issue with the fact that “the cyclist…appeared to be located more in the centre of the lane when the car behind overtook them and the car almost had to enter the right lane of traffic.
“Therefore, for those reasons we concluded the ad was socially irresponsible and likely to condone or encourage behaviour prejudicial to health and safety.”
Toyota released a teaser for its Super Bowl ad dubbed #NoRoomForBoring revealing the Muppets and actor Terry Crews. This can only be awesome!
What Toyota say about their Teaser:
“One boring man, in a world full of boring choices, makes a stop that will change his life forever. In the all-new Toyota Highlander, the Big Game will be anything but boring.”
We cannot wait to see the adventures (boring?) Terry Crews gets up to with the mischievous Muppets.
Watch below and tell us what you think about the teaser ad:
Updated: We now have the full version of the Toyota Highlander Big Game Trailer starring The Muppets:
None other than British acting legend Sir Ben Kingsley stars in the new Super Bowl teaser ad for the breathtaking new Jaguar F-Type R coupe.
Jaguar’s first ever Super Bowl spot will see the brand as a sophisticated British villain invading the U.S luxury car market, themed “Good to Be Bad,” it will reveal a whole host of legendary British villains.
Which villains? None other than Loki aka Tom Hiddleston (Thor) and born to be bad, Mark Strong (Kick Ass). Considering their recent roles we couldn’t think of more fitting bad guys. Muwhahahaha!
The full commercial will be released for the 2014 Super Bowl in a couple of weeks, but we can already tell it’s going to be totally badass.
Johnnie Walker have put together this very clever commercial for its #I’mNotDriving campaign in a bid to reduce drink driving.
The collaboration with the Formula One concept is a incredibly intense. We hope you guys join the #ImNotDrivingCampaign by sharing this to all of our friends.
Infiniti is building hype around it’s upcoming release of the Q50 Eau Rouge performance sedan with this awesome new commercial.
The powerful but short commercial shows the Q50 racing with a Formula One car before dramatically merging together and exploding.
While we don’t really get to see the car, we can certainly here it as the sound of both engines rev. The Q50 also is shown to have the 3.7 figure which tells us that it will feature a 3.7-liter V6 engine with at least 320 hp.
The advertising rivalry between Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar has erupted after Jaguar ate the ‘Mercedes chicken’ in their recent commercial.
The story so far:
Mercedes-Benz launched their ‘Intelligent Drive’ campaign with ‘that’ chicken commercial that went viral all over the world. The dancing chicken commercial amassed over 7 million views on youtube.

Jaguar were a tad jealous so they got their creative claws out with this hilarious commercial.
Yes, you saw it! The Jaguar ate the chicken! Jaguar literally took a bite out of the chicken and Mercedes in that one commercial.
Mercedes quickly responded with this viral ad on its FaceBook page with the following message:
“Jaguar is proud of their cat-like reflexes.#IntelligentDrive helps ensure they can stay that way.”
It looks like its car commercial wars folks! We’re hoping Jaguar reply with a witty rebuttal and continue this creative and humorous ad war. Without a doubt this is brilliant for both brands, especially as it will strike a chord with younger audiences.
“It doesn’t matter what you do to it, this new Dodge Durango still looks good. It’s just a good looking machine even when it’s thoroughly saturated in egg yolk.” – Ron Burgundy…
We can’t help but laugh when we watch the hundreds of Van Damme Split Stunt Spoofs, but this Palestinian spoof has a much deeper meaning!
These guys have created the spoof video to generate awareness and send out a message to the world that their country has much bigger problems than buying a Volvo and that ‘Vanne Damme isn’t better than them… There is just no gas in town!”
It is clever and it definitely opens our eyes and puts things into perspective. If you hit the subtitles you will see that these guys don’t have electricity or gas for 12 hours of the day, meaning they miss out on washing and eating at times. Very powerful but also very clever because a man doing splits to the Enya soundtrack will always be funny and always get people listening!
