Fast and Furious 8 set for 2017 premier

    Fast and Furious 8

Fast and Furious 7 has only been in cinemas for a few weeks and it seems its creators are already gearing up for the next Fast and Furious 8 movie.

Last weekend Fast and Furious 7 became the fastest movie in history to generate $1 billion in revenue, so it’s no surprise Universal Studios is keen to keep the cash train moving. A tweet from the official Fast and Furious 7 Twitter account has confirmed that the next instalment in the franchise is due to hit cinemas globally on Friday the 14th of April 2017, just under two years from now. This latest news comes after Vin Diesel who plays the character Dominic Toretto said in an interview that “Fast and Furious 7 was for Paul, eight will be from Paul.”

Obviously plot details are very limited at the moment, but without the late Paul Walker who has played the movie’s main character for almost fifteen years the next movie will likely be very different from previous instalments. Early hints from Vin Diesel suggest Fast and Furious 8 might be based in New York. We’ll no doubt learn more details in the coming months.

Fast and Furious 7 breaks box office records

    Fast and Furious 7

Fast and Furious 7 has become the quickest film in history to generate over $1 billion in revenue.

The latest instalment of the Fast and Furious franchise has broken box office records, becoming the quickest film ever to generate $1 billion. In the less than three weeks since Fast and Furious 7 hit cinemas globally, the movie has generated around $1.15 billion.

Furious 7 includes the late Paul Walker’s final on-screen appearance and filming for the movie wasn’t not completed before his untimely death. Following the accident, the script for Furious 7 had to be rewritten, and Paul Walker’s brother Cody was used for some scenes as well as a CGI version of Paul.

Despite losing the main character, it’s believed there will be an eighth instalment in the Fast and Furious franchise. Co-star Vin Diesel who was very close with Paul Walker has alluded to the fact that there will be more Fast and Furious films. He said “seven was for Paul, eight is from Paul.”

The Fast and Furious Supra is for sale!

    Fast and Furious Supra

One of the original Toyota Supra stunt cars driven by Paul Walker in the first Fast and Furious movie will be auctioned next month.

Get your cheque books ready Fast and Furious movie fans, because one of the franchise’s most iconic cars will soon be auctioned off. That’s right, the original ‘ten second car’ could be yours for what is presumably a rather large sum of money. Driven by Paul Walker’s character Brian in the original The Fast and The Furious movie from 2001, this particular stunt car was used throughout the film – specifically in one of the final scenes where the Supra jumps across a railroad while racing Dom’s Charger.

And while it may have looked extremely fast in the movie, with its scenery blurring nitrous and 22-speed manual gearbox, this Supra isn’t actually very fast. There’s no twin-turbo 2JZ straight six engine under the bonnet, with the stunt car using the less powerful (and cheaper) non-turbo version which delivers just 220hp to the rear wheels. Definitely not enough to keep up with the Ferrari F355 the Supra drags on the way to race wars, or indeed cover the quarter mile in ten seconds. Still, if the lucky new owner were to swap out the aspirated engine for the proper turbo one, they’d have one hell of a car.

The stunt car was built by ‘The Shark Shop’ in California and features a full roll cage, stripped interior, beefed up suspension, heavy duty fuel tank, race seats, body kit and those awesome alloy wheels. In all over fifty stunt cars were built for the film, most of which were wrecked during production.

The car will be sold by Mecum Auction’s 28th Original Spring Classic which is held between the 12th and 17th of May.

Drive the Fast and Furious 7 cars in Forza Horizon (VIDEO)

    Fast and Furious 7

The creators of XBOX One’s Forza Horizon 2 car game have teamed up with the Fast and Furious 7 guys to bring the movie cars to your living room.

You can now drive your favourite cars from the new Fast and Furious 7 movie on XBOX One’s Forza Horizon 2. Forza Horizon is basically an RPG for car guys (and gals) where you drive around a massive map looking for other gamers to race against, or you can do arcade style mission races. It’s a lot less structured than the usual Forza games that generally stick to set race tracks and car modifications are limited.

There’s loads of cars to choose from as well with plenty of scope for modification. And Turn 10 studios is constantly releasing new car packs that you can purchase to broaden the game even further. The latest car pack has been inspired by the new Fast and Furious 7 movie and gives gamers the chance to drive their favourite cars from the movie. The pack includes Dom’s ballistic supercharged Dodge Charger, Brian’s Toyota Supra, the Plymouth Cuda and Road Runner, 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger, Maserati Ghibli and Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The only car missing is the Fast and Furious 7 Subaru WRX STI, though the standard car is already part of the game.

The Fast and Furious 7 downloadable content will cost $5, which is the same price as every other Forza Horizon 2 car pack, but this one includes three more cars than usual. The Forza Horizon 2 Fast and Furious 7 car pack is available to download now and you can check out the cars in action in the video below.

Fast and Furious 7 Paul Walker tribute (VIDEO)

    Paul Walker Fast and Furious

The emotional ending to Fast and Furious 7 has got Paul Walker fans in tears with a touching tribute.

Don’t worry, we’re not here to spoil the ending to Fast and Furious 7. The video below isn’t the actual final scene of the new Fast and Furious 7 movie, it’s the music video that accompanies the “See You Again” Wiz Khalifa soundtrack, itself a very touching and evocative tribute video to the late Paul Walker.

You can check out the music video below. But I strongly suggest you go see the movie in the cinemas to see the incredible final scene, it genuinely is a tear-jerker.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xu2uBwgyYIU

I watched my first Fast and Furious movie when I was about eight years old. I already liked cars, but after seeing Paul Walker’s character Brian ‘blow the welds on his intake’ it started to become an obsession. He was a massive influence for me growing up, to the point where my career is now writing about and driving cars, and now I really couldn’t picture myself doing anything else. Even though I knew Paul’s character Brian was fictional I somewhat idolised him as a young boy – he was just a slick cool dude with morality and nobility who loved Skylines.

I’m sure there are thousands of others out there who have been influenced by Paul Walker’s role in the Fast and Furious franchise. And to those people, he will forever be remembered as a brother.

    RIP Paul.

The best Paul Walker Fast and Furious cars (VIDEO)

Motoring website Edmunds counts down the top ten greatest Fast and Furious cars driven by Paul Walker.

The Fast and Furious movie franchise has given us some of the greatest and most iconic movie cars of all time since its inception in the year 2000. These movies, the early ones in particular, inspired a generation to start modifying their cars and while not always in good taste it brought modified car culture to the masses.

While Vin Diesel’s character Dom and his legendary Dodge Charger is like the series’ unicorn character – the one that appears in some state or another in every movie – Paul Walker’s character Brian has always driven some truly awesome machines.

Where Diesel’s character is all about old muscle cars and superchargers, Walker’s has a love affair with Japanese turbocharged pocket rockets. The only times he didn’t drive a Jap tuner car is 2 Fast 2 Furious where he swaps his Mitsubishi Evo 7 for a Yenko Camaro for the big jump onto the boat stunt. He also drove a Dodge Charger cop car and a few others.

Paul Walker’s character Brian always had a connection with the Nissan Skyline, which started in 2 fast 2 Furious where his silver R34 GT-R only appears for a few minutes, enough though to cement it in petrol head folklore.

So, which Paul Walker car did Edmunds pick as the greatest of all? Check out the video below.

Behind the scenes on that Fast and Furious 7 plane drop scene (VIDEO)

    Plane drop scene

The creators of Furious 7 have launched a new video that goes behind the scenes of that epic plane drop scene, and it’s awesome.

If you haven’t already seen the extended trailer for Furious 7 which shows the plane drop scene go and watch it here, then come back. OK, you’re back, now you can check out how that scene was filmed at 12,000 feet above the ground in a new video launched by the creators of the seventh Fast and Furious movie. And it is awesome. There are no computer generated images (CGI) at all, they literally got the cars they needed, gave them parachutes and launched them out the back of an aircraft carrier along with a group of very brave camera men.

So those few seconds where you see under the Dodge Challenger as it plummets towards the earth were filmed by a bloke sitting under the car. It’s extremely cool.

The Fast and Furious 7 movie hits cinemas in under a months time on April 3, starring Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, The Rock, Jason Stratham and the late Paul Walker.

    Furious 7 extended trailer (VIDEO)

    Furious 7

A new trailer for the latest Fast and Furious movie, Furious 7, has been launched ahead of the movie’s premiere on April 3.

There’s not long to go until Fast and Furious 7 hits cinemas. In fact, it’s less than a month away and set for its big-screen premiere on April 3, and this latest trailer video gives us our best glimpse yet at the presumably far-fetched but brilliant Furious 7 plot, and some of the cars.

We’re pretty sure that a significant portion of the film will be played out around the wealthy supercar-congested suburbs of Abu Dhabi, judging by the previous trailers. However, this latest one is less about the scenery and more about the squad driving a group of hotted-up cars out of a flying cargo jet thousands of feet above the ground.

Cars include a Dodge Charger piloted by Dom (it wouldn’t be a Fast and Furious movie without the Charger, would it?), a last-gen Subaru Impreza WRX STI driven by the late Paul Walker’s character Brian plus a new Dodge Challenger coupe, a large nondescript armoured truck and an old Chevrolet Camaro driven by a petrified Roman (Tyrese Gibson’s character). And naturally, the only logical way to transport these vehicles and their driver’s from the plane to the ground is via air drop. No it doesn’t make sense, but it should make for some exceptional viewing once the movie launches.

The main characters that aren’t pictured in this trailer are the police chief played by the enormous Rock, and the baddie in the film played by Brit Jason Stratham. It’s believed the film will start in Tokyo at the scene of the shunt shown in 2003’s Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift where Han dies. Apparently Stratham’s character is responsible for the death and was fuelled by anger over the death of his brother caused by Dom and the crew in the last Fast and Furious movie. It’s all a bit complicated but this is the movie that will finally make sense of Tokyo Drift, probably.

Anyway, check out the awesome trailer.

Full length Furious 7 movie trailer launched (VIDEO)

    Furious 7 trailer

New trailer for seventh instalment in the Fast and Furious franchise, Furious 7, show’s Paul Walker’s last scenes.

As it turns out, the Furious 7 trailer shown during the Superbowl earlier this week was just a teaser for this latest three minute long theatrical trailer which is jam packed with crazy physics-defying stunts, angry cars, many explosions and intense one-liners.

The cast of the seventh installment in the Fast and Furious movie franchise includes all the usual suspects including Vin Diesel as ‘Dom’ and the late Paul Walker as ‘Brian’, while The Rock returns and British action hero Jason Stratham stars as the villain of the movie playing the character ‘Ian Shaw’ who is the brother of ‘Owen Shaw’ who was killed in Fast and Furious 6 by Dom and The Rock’s character.

From what we can tell, the movie will kick off from where Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift ended, as it’s Stratham’s character who is responsible for the death of Han – incase you’ve forgotten his mint Mazda RX-7 drift car was tee-boned in Tokyo Drift while being chased by the Japanese mafia.

Despite the connection with Tokyo Drift, the latest movie is expected to use Abu Dhabi as its main film location which will play host to a number of physics-bending action scenes, including one where Dom crashes a supercar through one sky scraper and into another… Watch the trailer and you’ll get what I mean.

    Furious 7 Superbowl trailer (VIDEO)

    Furious 7

New Furious 7 movie trailer drops at the Superbowl ahead of the movie’s launch on April 3.

It’s been a while since we’ve talked about the upcoming Furious 7 movie, but the release of an awesome new trailer at this week’s Superbowl seems like a good enough reason. Set to premier on April 3, the new movie takes off where Fast 6 left off and ties in the Tokyo Drift film which, until this newest addition to the franchise was announced, has seemed like a the weird child in the family that didn’t really belong. It’s taken twelve years, but soon we will actually learn what the point of Tokyo Drift was – apart from a kickass movie with lots of tasty drift cars.

From this latest trailer it looks like much of the explode-y action scenes will take part in Abu Dhabi, as there’s a handful of exotic Arab-plated supercars in the trailer including a McLaren 12C, Ferrari 458 and Bugatti Veyron. There’s also one other supercar in the video that you’ve probably never heard of before. It’s extremely rare, crazy expensive and built in Dubai. Called the Lykan Hypersport, it costs a whopping $3.4 million and boasts a 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat six engine from Porsche tuner RUF – who are they? They’re a reputable German company that builds the wildest, fastest and most extreme Porsches. And the car (supposedly) gets crashed through two sky scrapers – I think we can presume some CGI was used.

    Check out the new trailer.

Paul Walker’s Brothers To Complete Fast & Furious 7 Scenes

It’s not the first time an actor has passed away before a film has been shot. But Paul Walker’s death was taken very badly by a number of fans, and as the heart and soul of the franchise, it seemed the future was bleak.

However, now it has been revealed that his brothers will step in to finish off the scenes necessary to put the movie together. Cody Walker seems to be doing the majority, but it’s unclear exactly what they’ll be doing.

In fairness, it would be silly to consider Fast and Furious & not going ahead. It’s a multi-million dollar franchise, and would have wasted a lot of resources. Besides, fans everywhere know Paul himself would have wanted to see the franchise finished suitably.

    pwb

Paul’s character, Brian O’Connor, has also been reported to be written out via retirement, as opposed to being killed off, as other reports had suggested. Killing a character in a car-based movie where the actor died in a car crash in reality, could have been seen as a little morbid, and perhaps too close to home for some to consider.

The question still remains; do his brothers look similar enough to warrant this treatment? As it’s reported they’re going to be body doubles, it could be safe enough if no close-up face shots are needed. And a fully-CGI version of Paul Walker may also be quite eerie. Let’s hope they pull it off, and manage to finish the story-line of the character in style.

For more discussion points, check out the video below.

Report Confirms Paul Walker’s Scenes in Fast & Furious 7 Will Involve CGI

paul walker fast and furious 7

The fate of Fast & Furious 7 was thrown into doubt when its leading man Paul Walker dies in a terrible car crash last year. However, thanks to Hollywood magic: that is CGI technology and many body doubles he maintain the role and storyline.

Filming has begun this week in Atlanta after the movie was forced to stall after Paul’s death and the movie producers determined to keep the late actor in the film without sacrificing the storyline or his part.

Fast And Furious Star Paul Walker Dies In Tragic Car Accident

    Entertainmentwise Report:

“They have hired four actors with bodies very similar to Paul’s physique and they will be used for movement and as a base,” a source close to production told New York Daily News. “Paul’s face and voice will be used on top using CGI.”

Universal Pictures confirmed Paul’s presence in the film back in December, but didn’t detail at the time how it would keep the star in the picture.

    Paul Walker CGI

“Continuing the global exploits in the franchise built on speed, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead the returning cast of ‘Fast & Furious 7,’ which will be released by Universal Pictures on April 10, 2015,” the studio had said in a statement.

The special effects keeping the action star in the film was option number one for Universal and the producers, which include Paul’s good friend and co-star Vin Diesel, according to the source.

Vin talked about the last scene he shot with Paul on his Facebook and the film’s renewed sense of purpose in the wake of the tragedy.

“There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared … in the film we were now completing … the magic captured … and, in just how far we’ve come … ‘Fast and Furious 7’ will be released … April 10th 2015! P.S. He’d want you to know first,” he wrote.

He wrote later, “The transition into that Dom state of mind has always been an interesting one. Only this time there is added purpose, a collective goal to make this the best one in the series.”

Vin Diesel Shares Personal New Year Tribute To His ‘Brother’ Paul Walker

Vin Diesel pays emotional tribute to 'Brother' Paul Walker

Vin Diesel pays emotional tribute to 'Brother' Paul Walker
Fast and the furious star Vin Diesel has paid an emotional and personal tribute to Paul Walker via his Facebook page, calling the late actor his ‘brother’.

Vin Diesel who was clearly close to ‘Pablo’, as he also refers to Paul in his letter, says he was inspired to do some soul searching in the New Year.  In a warming tribute, Vin speaks of some personal memories and adventures the pair had together, while touching on Paul’s philanthropic efforts.

Check out the post in full below…

    “60 Million beautiful souls…

Normally we do a live, whenever we hit a milestone. However, this milestone came a lot sooner than expected.

Last New Year, I went with just my family on a very important road trip, partially inspired by my brother Pablo, who was guiding me up the California Coast. This year, despite the offers to travel, I did the same thing. Soul searching, finding the way forward.

The time when Paul and I closed down a press junket in LA… I believe it was the only time in history, that a junket was ever shut down due to driving. Haha, it was the last time the studio ever had cars at a junket that Paul and I were at.

Back in 2010, when the earthquake hit Haiti, I had asked everyone I knew to come to the island of Hispaniola, even friends that were born there, and the only person who came through was my brother Paul. It was the first trip his foundation made, in fact, I remember him asking me which name I preferred, REACT or ROWW (Reach out world wide).

For the road trip I accidentally brought the wrong computer, an older one, with older images… and I got lost in the memories.

    P.s. Our 60M Milestone…

You have always been so supportive, especially in these past two months… So, I wanted to share something personal that I worked on through the New Year, in honor of my brother Pablo… Paul.”

    Nice words Vin.

    Rest in Peace Paul.

The Cause of Paul Walkers Crash Is Confirmed As “Speed and Speed Alone” By Investigators

    Paul-Walker-Nissan-Skyline-GTR-R34-fast-furious-celebrity-cars-pictures

It comes as no surprise that investigators have come to the conclusion that “speed and speed alone” was the cause of Paul Walkers car crash which resulted in his tragic death.

In the aftermath of the tragic accident over 3 weeks ago, people asked questions about the car itself and if there was any faults with it that caused the driver Roger Rojas to lose control. But the law enforcement official involved with the investigation, who wishes to remain anonymous, told The Associated Press that the car lost control due to “speed, and speed alone.” and not mechanical failure . He also stated that there wasn’t any debris in the road which could have forced the Porsche GT to lose control.

Officials are also yet to release details of how fast the car was travelling.

Paul Walker Was An Everyday Hero (VIDEO)

As we mourn Fast & Furious Star Paul Walker’s death, some amazing stories have come out about his generosity and kind soul.

You may not know it but Paul Walker was an extremely charitable man and this heart warming story will bring a huge smile to your face today!

    Gawker.com report:

As stories about Paul Walker’s generosity and kind spirit flood his Facebook page in the wake of the actor’s untimely demise, one incredible story in particular stood out for many.

Former jewelry store clerk Irene King will never forget the day Walker walked into the Santa Barbara jeweler where she worked.

Not because it was exciting to see a celebrity in the shop – but because of what the Hollywood star did while he was there.

It was during the holiday season of ’04, and Walker was looking around the store while a couple nearby was picking out an engagement ring.

Kyle Upham was a soldier just back from his first tour of duty in Iraq and about to head overseas again.

His fiancee, Kristen, spotted something “she really, really liked,” according to King – a $9,000 engagement set. “He said, ‘Honey, I can’t afford that,'” King recalled.

That’s when Walker stepped in an quietly told the managed to “put it on my tab.”

After he left the store, the manager called the couple back and told them the ring had been taken care of.

King said she and the other store employees have kept their promise not to reveal the identity of the mystery benefactor, but with Walker’s passing, they thought the world would want to know.

After King finally spilled the beans on Facebook and the story went viral, the Uphams, still happily married, came forward.

“I noticed there was someone else in there but didn’t give it much thought, and we started looking at rings and whatnot and he kept saying, ‘Go bigger’ and I kept saying, ‘No, look at the prices,” Kristen told CBS Los Angeles, explaining why she chose a ring so clearly out of their reach.

    It was Walker’s doing.

The couple exchanged pleasantries with the actor, and then Kyle mentioned he had just come back from Iraq.

“I remember seeing the look in his face,” Kristen said. “He kind of transformed.”

When they were later called back to the store to pick up their new ring, the couple asked how it was purchased, but the employees refused to say, and only responded with a silent smile.

The Uphams say they suspected it was Walker all along, but weren’t sure – until King came forward with the other half of the story.
