Vaughn Gittin Jr shows off new 2015 drift Mustang (VIDEO)

    Vaughn Gitten Jr drift Mustang

Pro drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr shows off his 2015 Mustang drift car in awesome snow drift video.

You don’t really need an excuse to tear around a snowy drift course in a 2015 Mustang race car when you’re pro noon Vaughn Gittin Jr, but he and his team came up with one anyway. The video below shows the pro drifter man handling his 2015 drift Mustang in the snow, but the point of the video is actually to show off the car’s new livery… Yeah right…

We can’t tell you much else about the Mustang apart from it has a V8 from Ford Racing, rear-wheel drive (obviously), Brembo stoppers, a mad bodykit from RTR and some shouty green wheels.

Check out the sideways action in the video below.

Ken Block’s Gymkhana 7 Mustang explained by Chris Harris (VIDEO)

    Ken Block's Gymkhana 7 Mustang

Chris Harris takes a look at Ken Block’s wild Gymkhana 7 car, the custom-built 845hp all-wheel drive 1965 Ford Mustang.

From the outside the 1965 Mustang used by Ken Block in his latest viral video sensation, Gymkhana 7 Wild in the Streets of L.A, may look like any other slammed and stickered pony car.

But actually apart from the doors and roof, the Hoonicorn RTR as Ken calls it, is completely bespoke. It’s a custom-built race car which has been made to slightly resemble an old Mustang. This beast has about as much in common with a ’65 Mustang as a Ford Nascar racer has in common with an Ecoboost Fusion sedan.

It uses a bespoke tubular chassis built especially for Ken Block by ASD Motorsports and most of the body panels are made from carbon fiber.

The motor is a screaming 6.7-litre (410 cubic inch) Ford V8 pumping out 845hp and 720lb.ft of torque, which hits the ground through a six-speed sequential gearbox and extremely complicated all-wheel drive system that makes sliding backwards possible – somehow.

Ken Block describes the creation as part WRC car, part DTM racer and part Hot Wheels play-thing.

Now, enough jabbering from me, here’s Chris Harris:

Ferrari FXX K on track in Abu Dhabi (VIDEO)

    2015 Ferrari FXX K

Limited edition 1035hp LaFerrari based Ferrari FXX K race car laps Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina circuit.

Before Ferrari officially announced its race-car version of the LaFerrari hybrid hyper car, rumours speculated that the model would ditch the V12 engine for a modified version of Ferrari’s 1.6-litre turbo V6 Formula One motor.

Were glad those rumours turned out to be false and a naturally aspirated V12 remained at the heart of the FXX K, because not even the latest F1 cars can match the aural lunacy pouring from the exhaust pipes of the latest V12 racer from Maranello.

Combined power output from the musical V12 with electrical assistance is 1035hp – 72hp more than the LaFerrari -, weight is down thanks to a bare-bones interior, and those odd-looking dual rear wings help the FXX K produce 50 per cent more downforce than the car it’s based on.

Now, listen to it turn petrol into rather loud noises – it’s FxxKing fantastic (yes, we went there).
